ACT SLOW Ministries was established 10 years after the 1965 Watts Riots in the City of Los Angeles Housing Projects by Missioner Anna Marie Carter aka The Seed Lady of Watts.
With the unwavering support of Nutiva, Inc., over 35,000 small private organic gardens have been built for the residents of Los Angeles by the Watts Garden Club, under the direction of ACT SLOW Ministries.
The Youth of the Ministry now have the wonderful opportunity to go to Benin, West Africa to build a factory to manufacture their “California Style” organic VAP’s with the farmers and youth of Benin, for intraporting thoughout Africa and for global export!
ACT SLOW Ministries brings our programs – Re-Entry Green Job Employment, Cottage Industry Entreprenurial Training Programs, and Cottage Industry Marketing Programs to Benin from Watts.
Our goal is to take our products , brands and labels into the school systems to inspire the elementary school aged children to eat healthier and become physically fit via our program called “THE DANCE”- Music and Movement, all while we create new emerging markets and and healthy products for global distribution, which translates to new green jobs for our youth!
We are asking everyone to assist us with generous tax-deductable donations made out to:
