Nikole Read is the founder and CEO of IAB GROUP of Companies ( Immigration Advice Bureau (IAB) and IAB Global Ventures Corp) where she leads a team of professionals and oversees the management and operations with strong ethical principles. Nikole draws on her previous business and legal experience in England and Canada. She has brought her unique combination of communication skills, legal and business acumen to clients facing a wide array of immigration & business issues and challenges. She advises public and private sector clients on a wealth of international trade issues, immigration within the realms of applicable laws. Her clients include quasi-government/state-related entities, multinational companies and small and medium-sized businesses. Nikole and her team serve diverse industries with the objective of promoting international trade whilst helping clients manage risks and remove barriers to trade and investments as they enter markets.

Ms Read received her LLB (Hons) Law in England, UK and studied International Labour Migration, Politics and Ethics at the University of Oxford, UK. She is a proud member of organizations such as Amnesty International, Oxford Entrepreneurs and the Institute of Corporate Directors, Canada. Locally, she is involved with local Community Services and sits on various boards as a board director.

Sameer is a fellow member of ICAI and a qualified Company Secretary – An all India Rank Holder in CA Final (amongst the top 50 in the country). Sameer has over 10 years of experience in Risk and business advisory services across wide range of sectors and industries. Sameer has previously worked with Deloitte and with Altran control solutions (Now Protiviti) in the same line. Sameer currently Chairs International Trade Council In India and is responsible for extending foreign trade & is a Co-opted member of Internal Audit Standards Board (IASB) of ICAI for 2017-18.

Sameer has advised clients across diverse sectors on all aspects pertaining to joint ventures, inbound investments and has been closely involved in transactional matters including structuring transactions, advising on entry strategies for foreign entities, advising on foreign equity participation, compliances, regulatory approvals pertaining to foreign investment and assisting clients during negotiations in the course of acquisitions and other business transactions.

Sameer has managed complex internal audits, IFC, fraud investigations at diverse corporate involved in automobile ancillary, water, project management, fertilizer, agri-trading, chemicals, IT/ITES, consumer products, engineering products, Shipping, real estate, hotels, food & beverages etc. The engagement management included managing relationships at Board level as also functional audits at granular level.

Sameer has experience in developing and rolling out the Standard Operating Procedures and Process Manuals for virtually all the key business processes.

Sameer has authored a book on ‘’Risk based Internal audit plan’’ published by ICAI in February 2015. Sameer is also authoring a book on the topic of ‘’Role of Internal Audit in Implementation of Internal Financial Controls’’.

Sameer has served as the faculty for the Information Systems Control and Audit on the board of ICAI for 3 consecutive years and has also been a Speaker on different forums of ICAI and International forums, clocking close to about 45 hours every year, speaking on extending trade opportunities, Corporate Governance, IFC, Internal Audits.

Roger graduated from the University of Southampton in 1979 with a B.Sc (Hons) in Accountancy & statistics. His early career was in internal audit with RCA and Tesco. He then switched into the resort timesharing industry working mainly in Spain and Eastern Europe. Starting in sales he became a resort Director within one year. Roger later ventured to Kazakhstan, Central Asia in 1994 and built a leading property services business. In 2007 the company became an affiliate office of CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) the global number one in property brokerage & consultancy.

Roger was a President of The International Business Chamber of Kazakhstan.

He was one of the founding members of ‘Amcham’, the American Chamber of Commerce and became a Board Director for 3 years. In 2011 Roger won the American Chamber of Commerce ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award. He was also a founder and Board member of ‘Eurobak’, the European Business Association of Kazakhstan. After 22 years in Kazakhstan Roger recently returned to the UK, where he is now a Board Director of the British Kazakh Society.

Alexander graduated the Eurasian university in Astana with a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management.  At this time Astana was experiencing a construction industry boom, leading Alexander  found an engineering company in 2007 by the name of Vertical-NT (

As head of the company, Alexander has worked closely with the National Economical Chamber of Atameken (Kazakhstan) and taken part in numerous business forums across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region. In 2014 Alexander made his mark by representing the country of Kazakhstan in the Business Forum of Young Entrepreneurs at an event held in Moscow, Russia.

Alexander’s company is a partner to significant engineering equipment providers globally including CIAT, Alfa Laval and Honeywell.

Since 2014 Alexander’s company has taken part in the annual Kazakhstan & Central Asia Commercial Real Estate Week.

David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia. He had worked for the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. in Sydney & Singapore. He started the firm of Medora & Tong which later merged with Touché Ross & Co. He was the Managing Partner of Touché Ross & Co (now Deliotte Touche) Singapore office for ten years.

During his tenure as Managing Partner of Touché Ross & Co. he was audit partner in charge of many large multi-national clients and a number of companies listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange and other Stock Exchanges.

After retiring from Touche Ross & Co he joined the international accounting firm of Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF) and became its managing partner for ten years. PKF worldwide was then in the top ten accounting firms in the world with over 400 offices worldwide. PKF Singapore merged with CAP Advisory LLP (now known as PKF-CAP LLP) in 2007. David retired from the firm just after the merger.

Over a period of over 30 years in Touche and PKF. David gained wide experience in assignments of a consulting nature (mainly in hospitality consulting) besides assurance work such as statutory & internal audits; tax compliance and advisory services, due diligence (in mergers and acquisitions) and related work.

At age 71, David is director and/or shareholder of a number of companies in investments, services, trading and non-profit in Singapore and abroad. His role at these companies is mainly advisory in nature.

David has been active in the social sector since 1974, a period of 40 years. He started as Chairman of People’s Association Youth Group (Ponggol constituency) in 1975 under the then MP Mr Ng Kah Ting. Soon after he served as Vice-Chairman of the Braddell Heights Community Centre Management Committee and Braddell Heights Citizens’ Consultative Committee under the then Member of Parliament Mr Goh Choon Kang. Whilst there he started the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra which is still active today.

David was appointed as Chairman of the Potong Pasir Community Club Management Committee by its advisor Mr Andy Gan. He chaired the Fund-raising Committee that raised funds to build the new Potong Pasir Community Club. He was also a member of the Potong Pasir Citizen’s Consultative Committee.

David served in various other charities and non-profit organizations, including Rotary International. He is a Past District Governor of Rotary International District 3310 which comprises of Singapore, Johor, Malacca, Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei. He was Chairman of the Foundation of Rotary Clubs (Singapore) Ltd, a registered Charity and Institution of a Public Character in Singapore. He was Trustee of the Singapore Leprosy Relief Association for around 15 years.

He has been recognized by NCSS for service as a volunteer for 40 years or more.

David was Chairman of the Management Committee of NTUC-Rotary Silver Trust in Marsiling for three years till 31 December 2013.

Sinan Bedir was born in 1969 and graduated from Ankara University Kırıkkale Vocational High School Electronical Department. His professional life started in 1987 with Turkish Telephone Inc and continued with PTT (now Turkish Telecom) in 1998, after which he joined Turksat Satellite.

In 2000 he left his job and established Simet Technologies Inc where he has been working as a board chairman and co-founder. His company is leading supplier of telecommunications and information technology related equipment and is TSE, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 10002 and OHSAS 18001 accredited.

Sinan is married and a father of one son.

Jayanthi was born in Dubai in 1962 when it was still a fishing village. Her father was a physician and had his clinic in the busy city centre and her mother was a home maker. Life must have been very challenging for herparents with no air conditioners or refrigerators and five kids to manage.

In the absence of English medium schools, Jayanthi’s mother was forced to move the family back to India in 1967 while her father stayed behind in Dubai.

Jayanthi went to school and university in Bangalore, India and graduated with a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications. She  was part of the school basketball team and the athletics team. Jayanthi represented Bangalore university for the discus throw event and she loved sports throughout her school and university days.

On completing her graduation she worked for two years in Bangalore before coming to Dubai in February 1989. It was a very different city than it is now. The development had just started and there were only two parts of Dubai, Deira and Bur Dubai. Her first job was in a medical equipment trading company in Abu Dhabi where she worked as a sales and service engineer. For the next thirteen years Jayanthi worked for three other medical equipment supplies companies as purchaser, sales executive, service engineer & project manager. This gave her a great deal of the experience and confidence she needed to venture on her own.

In April 1993 Jayanthi met her husband Colin who, at the time, was employed by a Swiss shipping company as its Middle East IT manager. Jayanthi and Collin were married in November 1993 and in 1995 she had her first son Keith, followed quickly by Nathan and Carl. In 2002 a Swiss friend encouraged her to start her own business.

Al Shaiba Medical supplies was founded in June 2002 and has grown steadily since. In 2004 Colin decided Jayanthi needed help with the business and joined the company. Jayanthi and Collin’s company enjoys a good reputation in hospitals and they maintain strong ties with their customers.

Michael Waechter has a master in economy and computers and an MBA in Media and Communication. He worked for two Swiss blue-chip companies in Switzerland and Asia before moving to the United Arab Emirates in 2002, where he started his own business. He is now living in Dubai with his family where he became the chairman of CRESCO Holding. This conglomerate is engage in various types of businesses, including, among others, a chartered accounting firm, a law firm, a corporate service firm, a general trading firm and a firm specialised in expansion consulting.

Michael and his team have organised numerous events for groups visiting the Middle East, including events for entrepreneurs and networking events for international organisations. Michael was instrumental in helping several companies to ‘start-up’ their business in the region and help them to acquire the first anchor business in this competitive market.

Michael is member of several local and international associations, including business councils, alumni organisations and industry specific network groups. He relies on a strong network built up over years of living in the United Arab Emirates and is himself an experienced speaker and moderator at events and functions of which he has hosted and organized many over the years.

Andrew Borland lives in the small market town of Oakham, in England’s smallest county of Rutland, located in the central England region.

Born in 1968, Andrew was educated at Stamford Boys School. He then followed his chosen career path to hotel management by studying first at Peterborough Regional College and then gained an HND at Birmingham College of Food and Tourism in 1989.

He started his professional working life on the South Coast, working mainly in independently owned hotel operations. After brief spells in Berkshire and Manchester, he returned to Rutland in 1994 to manage a local golf club operation. After 2 successful years, he moved back down to the South Coast and London, before returning to Rutland permanently at the end of 2000. For the next 5 years he had spells in contract catering with a division of Compass, and managed a social housing project in Leicester city.

In July 2006 he joined what was then an independent un branded hotel just out Grantham called The Olde Barn Hotel.  He is now in his 12th year at the hotel, having seen various refurbishment projects and extensions as well as managing the move to a branded hotel as part of Wyndham Hotel Group; the hotel now trades as Ramada Resort Grantham.

Andrew has an active interest in current affairs, and works with various trade bodies and marketing consortia to promote business in his area. He is keen to help the ITC grow in the UK and to promote trade relations to secure continuity and stability with the UK’s trading partners during and after the Brexit negotiations. He is also keen to extend the benefits of trading relations from London to Midlands and Northern counties.

Bradley Rose is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Kaye, Rose & Partners, LLP a California based boutique law firm specializing in international trade issues with an emphasis in the cruise and shipping, cargo logistics, travel, hospitality and entertainment industries. Kaye, Rose & Partners, LLP was founded in 1992 establishing offices in Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco. Brad has wide ranging litigation, legislative, regulatory and transactional experience. Zeydi Gutierrez is the Director of Business Operations at AB&I Foundry, a producer of quality cast iron soil pipes and fittings for waste, drain and vent plumbing systems. In her role, one of her primary responsibilities are to advise on strategies and to execute plans that enable the business to operate more efficiently and effectively. Zeydi leads the charge with community outreach and is the liaison with the City of Oakland.. With over 25 years of combined experience in Safety, Training, Human Resources, Organizational growth, she has a passion for people and for what can be achieved when businesses and people work towards a common goal.

Zeydi has a B.S. degree in Organizational Studies as well as an MBA- Operational and Supply Chain Management. She also has SPHR certification and was recently appointed to the City of Oakland Workplace Development board.

Orit has over 30 years’ experience in the international transportation and logistics industry.

Orit received her Customs Brokers License in 1996 and founded International Logistics Express, Inc. While concentrating on air transportation and customs brokerage nationwide, Orit also provides consultation to her clients in the areas of security, compliance, trade agreements and quota issues.

In 2011 Orit founded ILE Global LLC which is a FMC licensed NVOCC concentrating on ocean freight forwarding.

Orit got involved with Customs C-TPAT programs at a very early stage and was promoting this to her clients in the form of seminars and via her participation in various international trade committees. Originally from New Orleans, Kathy E. Roux graduated from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While in law school, she was elected Freshman Class Representative and appointed Ombudsman for LSU’s Student Government Association. She won 1st place for the Southern Region in the Frederick Douglass Moot Court competition, and was chosen to represent LSU in the National Moot Court competition.

After graduation, she began working for Southeast Louisiana Legal Services in New Orleans, practicing poverty law. While there, her practice areas included Consumer Bankruptcy, Consumer Protection, Housing Law, and the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. During this time, she co-authored the Consumer Chapter of the Louisiana Legal Services & Pro Bono Desk Manual for 2001 and 2005. She served on committees for the Louisiana State Bar Association, including Chair of the Taxation Section Pro Bono Committee and Co-Chair of the Health Directives Committee. She was also active in the Louis A. Martinet Society, and is currently a member of the Louisiana Bar Foundation.

After Hurricane Katrina, she and her family permanently relocated to Texas. She obtained her Texas license in June, 2006, and now has a solo practice in the areas of Elder Law, Guardianship, and Wills/Probate/Trusts. She also has a general civil practice that includes Consumer Protection, Family Law, Landlord/Tenant Law, Immigration, and IRS Tax Controversies. For several years, she served as an ad litem representing mentally ill clients in Tarrant County while gaining valuable litigation experience.

She is currently a member of the U. S. Supreme Court, where she currently has a case on appeal. She is also a member of U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, All State Courts for Louisiana, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and All State Courts for Texas. She is a certified ad litem and certified mediator by the State Bar of Texas. She is a Louisiana Bar Foundation Fellow and a Dallas Bar Foundation Fellow.

She was recognized as a Top Attorney of North America in 2015 by Who’s Who Directories, and Texas Probate Attorney of the Year for 2016 by ACQ5 Global Awards. She is also a member of Global Law Experts and International Trade Council.

She is also a member of Dallas, Denton & Tarrant County Bar Associations. She previously chaired the Dallas Bar Association’s Bankruptcy & Commercial Section Pro Se Subcommittee, and has written articles for DBA’s Headnotes. She was awarded the Outstanding Solo Practitioner Award for 2007 by the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. She received the DBA’s 2017 Jo Anna Moreland Outstanding Committee Chair Award

She is a former board member of the Northeast Tarrant County Bar Association, and a former board member of the Tarrant County Probate Bar Association from 2007 to 2013, where she held the position of Secretary and Treasurer, and assisted with organizing successful CLE’s for attorneys.

She served on several Tarrant County Bar Association committees and chaired their Diversity and Elder Law committees. She is a choice speaker at The People’s Law School, and has assisted with organizing successful CLE’s for attorneys.

She is a continuous member of the College of the State Bar of Texas since 2006.

Ms. Roux regularly volunteered at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas in Dallas and Fort Worth for the Bankruptcy and Wills Clinics. She regularly presents legal topics at community education events. She was also a regular volunteer at Heritage Elementary School in Grapevine, and Good Shepherd Catholic Community in Colleyville where she taught religious education class for several years. Ms. Roux currently worships and volunteers at Comforter Christian Center in Grand Prairie.
